Kudos in Slack that stays out of the way.

In any channel Nod has been invited to, write something like @sarah 👍 thanks for the launch help. Sarah gets a DM with your message quoted and a count for the month. You get a DM confirming it and telling you how many you have left today. Or skip the typing and react to Sarah's message with the emoji; that gives her one too.

Two people at once? @sarah @tom 👍 great pairing gives one each. Two emoji gives two each.

• No bot message in the channel. The original message is the recognition.
• No daily reminders, streaks, or nudges. One digest a week, in a channel you choose.
• No points shop. A kudo is a kudo.
• No public leaderboard unless you want one, and it ranks givers by default.

Choose the emoji and what a unit is called. Thumbs up and "nods" is the default; teams pick fire, stars, goats, or a custom workspace emoji. Set the daily allowance anywhere from one to a hundred, and the timezone it resets in.
