Simple employee recognition
Recognition for small teams. Not an HR platform.
Most employee recognition software is built for HR departments: rewards budgets, surveys, HRIS integrations, per-seat contracts. If you are a founder or ops lead at a 15 to 50 person company, you probably want the ritual and none of the platform.

The platform problem
Tools like Bonusly, Nectar and Kudos are good at what they do, but reviewers at small companies say the same things: it is more platform than a team under 50 needs, employees have to log into a separate app, and per-seat pricing with a rewards budget on top adds up (Nectar review, Kudos review).
For a small team the goal is simpler: notice good work and say so, in the place work already happens.
What simple looks like
- Lives entirely in Slack. Nobody creates an account or opens another app.
- Give by mentioning someone with your emoji, or reacting to their message.
- A few per person per day, so it stays meaningful.
- Private DMs, one weekly digest, nothing else.
- Admins get a small dashboard: who is taking part, recent nods, settings.
- One flat price. £19 a month for up to 50 people.
What you give up
Nod has no rewards catalogue, no surveys, no performance-review export, no HRIS sync, no single sign-on, and no Microsoft Teams version. Those are the things that make the other products platforms. If your company needs them, you need one of those products.
Getting started
Click Add to Slack, pick an emoji and a name, set the daily allowance, and invite the bot to a channel or two. The first nod usually happens within the hour. If it does not stick, cancel from your billing page and nothing lingers: you can delete every byte from the settings page.
Competitor pricing and features checked on 2 September 2026. They change; check the vendors' own pages before deciding.
